What's Your Damage... Hollywood?
This is the last straw!! A remake of Short Circuit, really? Is this such a gem that we need to bring it to the new generation?
Seriously, Hollywood. I know that there are a gazillion scripts out there that are just as bad as Short Circuit, why not produce one of those? Are you counting on the nostalgia factor? Frankly I've had enough. Over the past week I've read about re-makes, prequels and sequels to movies that came out long ago, like in the 1980's, last century literally!
Hamlet - As interpreted by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) and Emile Hirsch set in a modern Ivy League university (huh?)
Karate Kid - no else can be Daniel-san but Macchio, I don't care how cute Will Smith's kid is I'm not buying it
Next thing you know, they'll be looking to remake "The Breakfast Club" or bring back "Mannequin".
Enough already.

Heathers - Winona Ryder is all set to do a sequel, Christian Slater t00 (but as it was pointed out to me he died in that movie, wha?)
Aliens - a prequel, what is this going to be about. And who gets to be Ridley?
