Over the last few days, I've been cooking. Today I decided to make chili which is one of my favorite fall/winter meals. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:
2 medium onions (or one baseball size onion)
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
ground turkey (you can use beef)
cumin
chili powder
cayenne pepper
red chili flakes
Worchestchire Sauce
bay leaf (optional, remove before eating chili)
brown sugar
red beans
15-28oz of canned tomatoes
jalapeno
2 tbsp Olive oil

Instruction:
In a large pot, preferably a dutch oven, put in the olive oil, followed by the chopped onions and garlic. Once the onions are translucent add the spices (add to your taste, but typically a tbsp is good). After the spices are incorporated add the ground turkey (this can be done separately). Once the meat has browned add in the canned tomatoes. Add brown sugar. Fill the can with water and add to the pot. Let it all come to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, cover, turn down and let simmer for 90 minutes add in the beans 30 minutes before it's done.

Optional
Serve over rice or cornbread. Sour cream, chopped onion and cheddar.
