Tonight I'm wishing that I had Showtime!!!
Netflix is offering a sneak peak of the new Toni Collette show, "The United States of Tara", the first episode is also available on YouTube. Love it!!! The lovable John Corbett plays the husband and the great Rosemarie DeWitt is her sister (loved her performance in "Rachel Getting Married"). Basically, the show is about a woman, with multiple personality disorder, she's married with 2 kids and is also an interior decorator. Her personalities come out when she's stressed. This is great fodder for a show because what surbaban mom and wife doesn't get stressed? Diablo Cody and Steven Spielberg are involved in this project. I haven't read any reviews or anything but the first episode is very promising. And well Showtime has a great track record of quality original programming. "Queer as Folk" was one of my favorites and "Weeds" is still one of the best on t.v. Seeing this show tonight made me miss premium cable. Check it out.
