Casting "Point Break" remake

This morning I innocently checked Facebook only to be confronted with the news that Warner Brother is planning a remake of Point Break. And while I am staunchly against this entire idea because I will still watch this movie whenever it is on and once put as the headline of my Match.com profile that I was "Seeking Johnny Utah", am forever a fan of movies and love to "re-cast" films. I once spent many hours along the Rio Duoro casting the never made "Dallas" movie, that at the time was rumored to have John Travolta as J.R. Ewing (never liked that idea). So in the grand tradition of "if you can't beat them, join 'em", I give you the principal casts.

Channing Tatum as Johnny Utah. Why? In the original Utah is a former football player and also a general goody two shows. Tatum's physique is more than equipped to make the audience believe him as a former football player. And have you seen him in "Dear John"?

This next one is so obvious but I have to say. Matthew McConaughey as Bodhi. - McConaughey needs to play a darker edgier character. And we all know that he knows how to surf. He's got this role in the bag.

Pappas - honestly I say bring back Gary Busey. But barring that I say Dennis Leary. He has just the right amount of sarcasm. Oh, just had a burst of inspiration Christian Slater!!!! as the Utah's partner/mentor.

Riley Keough as Tyler (original played by Lori Petty). Yes, she's Elvis' granddaughter and mostly known as a model but I say we throw a wildcard in this role. Plus her eyes are intense.

That's all I've got. If this movie does get made and none of those actors are in it then I will be sorely disappointed. But not as disappointed as I am that this is actually happening.
